Mapping on bas-relief made with KUKA

Concept
In this artwork, we aim to reflect on human-machine interaction and explore how machines assist us in expressing ourselves.
We collaborate to create common projects, and it can be challenging to discern where one individual’s input ends and another’s begins in our joint creativity. Thoughts flow seamlessly between us, fostering a kind of collective consciousness that gives birth to a unified vision. This vision represents "us" and our synergy, with computers and other technologies serving as assistants and co-authors in this process.
Using a KUKA robot arm, a bas-relief was carved that represents our portrait/self-portrait. This relief was based on a common photo of us taken using slit-scan technology. The completed bas-relief was then mapped with a projector.
