Video art made during a site-specific art laboratory at SVIVA art space for SVIVA STATION exhibition
Concept
"Neve Sha'anan Shuffle" is an experimental video art project, where point cloud technology and match cut methodology are used to explore the aesthetics of everyday repetitiveness within the Neve Sha'anan district. Employing recurring urban motifs such as buses, street signs, playing cards, numbers, this video art piece highlights the monotony and patterns of life in a rhythmic manner.
Through the point clouds, viewers are offered a unique perspective that transcends the physicality of the objects, capturing instead their essence in relation to the human condition. The sound for "Neve Sha'anan Shuffle" has been created using field recordings from Tel Aviv's central bus station. This is complemented by added rhythmic elements that mirror the dynamics of the visuals.
